In recent years, the College of Life Sciences at National Tsing Hua University has observed a growing demand for the use of laboratory animals in life science and medical research. In response, the College has established an animal housing facility that puts animal welfare first while following all local rules on animal protection and research animal care. This facility aims to support both basic and clinical research, thereby advancing NTHU’s research and development capacity in the biomedical field.

The mouse housing facility of the College is located on the basement level of Life Science Building I and includes areas for mouse housing and experimental operations, as well as cage washing, sterilization, and storage zones. Currently, the facility provides mouse housing and experimental services, and in the future, we plan to expand our technical service platforms to further support the research and teaching needs of all departments within the College.
