Animal Transfer Out Procedure
 

1. The "Animal Transfer Application Form" must be submitted at least 3 days prior to the intended transfer out date. This allows the facility staff to prepare the designated transport cages.

2. On the day of the transfer, the user must transfer the animals into the pre-prepared designated transport cages inside a biosafety cabinet.

3. All animals must exit the facility via the CC Area changing room. Animals from the SPF Area must first enter the CC Area and then be transferred out from the CC changing room

4. The animals may be transferred out after the user completes the "Animal Transfer out/back Logbook" at the exit.

Animal Transfer Out and Back Procedure

4. The animals may be transferred out after the user completes the "Animal Transfer out/back Logbook" at the exit.

5. Animals being transferred back must enter the CC Area after the user completes the "Animal Transfer out/back Logbook" at the exit/entrance.

6. Transferred back animals must be housed in the CC Area and cannot re-enter the SPF Area under any circumstances.
